  1. There are no names on the old roads around here except "The New Line", "Park Lane", "d'Eathe's Lane", and the "School Lane".
    There is a very old road leading from Aclamon to New Ross. It runs through Ballylane into New Ross.
    There is one hill on it which is called Cnocán na teine. There is a great view from this hill. Two hills near New Ross were cut down in famine times as relief work.
    On top of one of the hills there lived a family named Kents of the lookout.
    In penal times Mass used to be said in a glen between that hill and another one. Someone used to watch for the English soldiers at Kents and because of that they call it the "Lookout".
    There is a road up on Finchogue
