  1. The boys get a large doll and dress her up in ribbons and papers. Then they dress themselves up in bright colours and go from house to house with the doll and some play music while the others dance with the doll. They then collect money.
    In all the houses they make a cross with rushes and put it in the ceiling to keep away sickness and fire.
