  1. An old beggar woman used to go from house to house looking for lodgings. She often spent a night in his father's house in Templesheelin, where she slept on a couch beside the fire. She was a very pious old woman, and prayed fervently for those who gave her alms.
Every morning, on getting up, she used to say this prayer.
    "Good morning, day,
Jesus guide me the right way,
That God may keep me from
    sin and shame,
    I'll arise to-day God's name."
