    A field in Newtown now owned by Mr. Nolan is called "Fairy house field" because there was an old rath there, where the fairies were supposed to have lived.
    A place called the "Charter School" is now owned by Mr. Ronan. It was formerly a Protestant school.
    In a place called "Payne's Well" there was an old school and the headmaster was Mr. Payne.
