In the 18 century when there was a change made in the calendar, the third of February was changed to the fourteenth and the old people used to be saying "Give us back our eleven days"! Some people say that March borrows ten days from April because March has a few April showers "to skin the Old Cow."
This is an old rhyme about cutting your nails, it says -
    "Cut them on Sunday
    You cut them for evil
    For all of the week
You'll be ruled by the devil."
It is said that it is very unlucky to turn the mattress of your bed on Sunday.
