If you see the starlings, very busy picking in a grass field, people say it is going to rain. If you hear the cock crow at unusual times it is a sign of rain also. When you see swallows skimming the ground, it is going to rain.When the worms come to the top of the ground, it is a very good sign of rain.
When spiders are very busy making small cobwebs, rain is going to come. If you hang up a piece of seaweed, and it becomes very hard, it is a sign of cold weather. If the mountain rivers can be heard plainly,(continues on next page)- Collector
