    The Murrintown Intermediate Hurling Club won the County Wexford Championship out in 1928. The famous hurling men on that team were Paddy Murphy of Murrintown and John Radford of Boggan's road.
    Long ago bowling was a famous Irish game. It was played along the road. The men of the locality took part in it.
    Some years ago cricket was played in the Deer Park, Murrintown. Mr John Murphy, Kates Cross, and Mr (Bower) of Murrintown were famous for cricket playing.
