    I live in the district of Murrintown. We have a cow and an ass. The cow's name is "Polly"
    The cow is "baled up" when she comes to the cow house, her head between two upright posts
    The domestic animals at home are a dog and four cats The dog's name is Shep. When they are bringing in the cows they say "Chew up"
    The home where the cows are put is called a cow house
    A cow that kicks is "spanceled" around the hind legs. The "spancel" is a piece of rope. The cow houses in our district are called cow houses. The cows are bedded with straws or ferns and sometimes with hay.
    When following calves or giving them their "share" we say "Suck, Suck, Suck." When calling hens or chickens we say "chuck chuck."
