  1. A story is told in this locality that once upon a time a strict Father was "giving out" or abusing his son about something he had done wrong and he brought in the old boast, "When I was a boy my Father would have thrashed me for such a thing.".
    "O", said the son in a jeering way. "A nice sort of Father you had". "What", said the Father. "You impudent brat". "I had a better Father than ever you had.".
