Heath brooms were made by the Radfords who lived on the Mountain of Forth. These were sold in Wexford for a 1/2 d each

Boots were made by the Whitty's. They made them in a little house in the yard. This house is standing still.
Willie Whitty made them, and his brother Johnny helped him. They sold them at fairs and in town. The neighbours around called those boots "pumps"
Thomas Casey who lived at Casey's cross, Murrintown was a famous thatcher.
Johnny Whitty mentioned in the second last paragraph, told me some of the crafts. He is alive still, being 84 years of age, and lives in Red Shire, Murrintown, Wexford.
    Miss Rochford has since died.
