  1. One night a clever fox came
    to a farmyard to look for a fat
    hen. He went to the haggard
    and gave a little bark to see
    if there were any dogs around.
    The minute he barked, two big
    dogs ran down off a rick
    of hay. There was a gate in
    the side of the haggard and
    the fox ran out through it.
    The two dogs were too fat to go
    out and after a while they
    squeezed out through the bars.
    The fox had gone on and came
    to a big hole in a field where
    he spied an ash plant growing
    on the side of it. He caught
    the ash plant in his mouth
