  1. The old school that was in Ballykelly was in the chapel grounds. It was a thatched house. John Molloy was the teacher in it. He was not a certified teacher. The school was there about sixty years ago. The school wa knocked down and the stones were used to build a new school. The front steps of the old school are still to be seen. While they were building the new schoolthe pupils were taught in a coach-house and a stable and a man whose name was Sinnott was teaching there.
He was kept by the people and the children used bring money to him.
