- There are two tailors in the district namely Patrick Farrell of Berrinaugh and Hugh Creegan of Legga. Hugh Creegan has a bench for sitting on when he is sewing. It is very high and big. Some times he sits up late at night when he has alot of sewing to do especially on a Saturday night when he is in a hurry to have the clothes ready for the next day. Denis Gray of Dromard and his father travelled from house to house about 40 years ago. They had no machine for sewing with. They did all hand sewing. They made suits of clothes. They charged five shillings for making a suit of clothes. The tailor doesn't stock any cloth. Cloth is not spun or woven locally. In olden time the cloth was spun with a spinning wheel and woven with a loom.
The flax was pulled and tied in sheaves and put into a pool of water and sods put on it. It was left there for a fortnight and it was taken out and spread in a meadow. It was left there for a considerable time. It was taken(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
