    milk from spilling. When the butter gathers on the top of the milk the churning is done. The milk that is left in the churn is called butter-milk.
    The butter is washed to take the milk off it. It is then salted and mixed. It is made into rolls or prints.
    Long ago the people used to put the butter in boxes and leave it in the bogs for the Winter. It used to keep fresh in the bogs.
