- (continued from previous page)McManus because there are four families of that name in the townland. There are more houses thatched, with two rooms and a kitchen and there are three houses slated. Drumgort got its name from the way the hills are suituated. There is one old person over 70 years but she is not able to tell any stories. There is much bog in the upper end of the town and the rest is arable and moor. There are three ruins of old houses that the people left long ago.(continues on next page)
