    to have the match re-played over the other side of the Shannon. So this time the match was played in the big meadow in Derryhanny. Again the Connachts were beaten. Several times matches like those occurred. The people say that the Connacht men used to say that the Leinster men 'were only "rooteens" but as cool as water'. In those days there were no other amusements such as we have now-a-days.
