    bring some turf. Then when the bonfire was lit they used to dance around it till midnight There are many customs attached to Hallow'een. On that night there is a big supper in every house and at it there is a brack and in the brack is a ring and whoever gets this ring will be married the first. After the supper the children play games. They put a tub half full of water on the floor; into it they drop an apple. Then each child in turn would try to get the apple out of the tub. Boys go out during the night and play tricks on their next door neighbour. They take away his gate and hang it in another man's yard.
