  1. On the townland of Fermore there is an old fort and it is said there are fairies in it.
    Once there lived a man there and he used to hear music in it every night. This night he went down to the fort and lay down and fell asleep listening to the music.
    When he awoke he had no hair on his head.
    Then he used to find a halfcrown in his boot every morning and this went on for nearly a year. After
