  1. There is an ancient lake in the townland of Cappagh and it is said that there are mermaids in it.
    One day there was a party out fishing on the lake and they saw the mermaids. After some time they rowed to land and went over to a house owned by people named Molphys and took some tea in it.
    They started down to the lake again. This time the man's daughter went with them.
