  1. In olden times priests got it very hard to say mass and very often they were captured and hanged.
    Mass was read in old barns and in nooks in woods. Many stories are told about parents who would neither send their children to mass or school.
    There was a man in this parish who would not send his son to mass and this annoyed the priest very much. One Sunday while the man was waiting for Mass to start the priest asked him if his son were
