- Cure for a bleeding finder. Get a dandeline leaf and chew it and tie it on the finger. Miss Gretta Wallace, Ballinalack, Co. Westmeath got this cure from her Aunt. She is fourteen years of age.
- Mr Shannon, Streete, Co. Westmeath says that if you churn butter on a May day and keep a portion of it over unsalted for twelve months it will remove a thorn.
- Cure for Corns. Thomas Smith, Clonave, Coole, Co. Westmeath has the cure for corns. He puts a plaster on the corn. This plaster is the shape of a penny, and the corn goes in a few days. He is seventy three years of age.
- Cure for cancer. John Veldon, Multyfarnham, Co. Westmeath is a seventh son and he has a cure(continues on next page)
