    Sore throat.
    In olden times people had no cures like nowadays. When anyone had a sore throth they used to rost potatoes or rost salt and put it round the neck.
    Burns.
    Anyone who wanted to cure burns used to lick an Arc Luachra and they would be able to cure burns.

    Stye in the eye.
    In this parish long ago they had strange ways of curing diseases. When they had a stye in the eye they used to point nine gooseberrybush thorns at it for nine days.
