    are affected. Prayers and Rosaries are said at the well and visits are made round the well.
    Pieces of cloth are still left around the well as was the custom in years gone by. This well is formed from a small stream coming from a hill on the south side and traces of mounds indicate remains of buildings of some kind probably a graveyard. Not far from Scarden is the graveyard of Scarden - still in use.
