    Water is poured in during the process, because it is necessary to bring the butter on the milk. The butter is taken out, with 'pats' and is put into a dish, and water and salt are put in, and after a good washing, the butter is taken out, and made into rolls with the 'pats'.

  2. We have a churn at home. It is a small round churn about two feet high, and the same in width. The sides are round. It is about fourteen years of age. The parts are called the handle, dash and lid, and there are iron fittings on one side to hold in the handle and dash. There was a mark on it, but it is worn
