  1. Candle Making.
    About years ago the people used to make candles from rushes. They used make them on the "Twelfth Night."
    They used an instrument called a "grisset" in which they used to melt grease and in which they used to dip the rushes. They used to peel the rushes, and leave a piece of the skin to serve as the wick. Then, they used to dip twelve rushes in the grease, fix them on a plate, and after the Rosary, each one used to bless himself or herself with them.
