The Castles of Togher, Carlanstown, Ballinscarry and Ross. There is not much history known of these castles except for Togher and Ross. They were the resting places of the Irish before the Battle of Finnea. Owen Roe O Neill is said to have slept in Togher and Miles the Slasher slept in Ross.
There is an island on Lough Sheelin and on this island there is the ruins of a Church and a monastery and the island is called Church island.
