  1. If you get a snail and rub him to your warts every morning for nine mornings in succession, and every morning say an "Our Father" a "Hail Mary" and a glory. When the nine mornings are up hang the snail on a white thorn bush, and as he will be withering away the warts will be withering. Another cure for a wart is to get a clover that grows along the road, and a stream, and rub the same bit to it every morning for ten mornings.
    There is a small pool of water situated at Moynalty, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath, and if you went to it when the sun is sinking, and throw a needle in it, if you had chicken pock you'd be cured of it before the next evening.
