- Some field that are situated in Lislin, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath, are called as follows, The "Pairc breac", The "Frioc ruad", The Kishkie" field. the "Slany" field, The "Gob" field, The "Crokan" field, The Kiln field.
The old people say that this is the way "Pairc Breac" gotr its name. There is a little hill in it and in summer the sun burns the grass of it. If looking at it from a distance you would think it was jewels sparkling in the sun.
The "kishkie" field got its name because there a big pit of money which is called a kishkie found there.
The 'Frioc ruad" is called so because there was red heather growing there and foxes used to have their dens in it(continues on next page)
