    fierce that it shook many houses, broke windows, and knocked chimneys off houses.
    The people were all in their homes saying the "Family Rosary" while the storm raged and tossed outside.
    One man was killed dead by the lightening when he was preparing his supper, and there were two women asleep in the same house. One of them was struck dead, and the other one escaped with injuries.
    A wood of fine palms belonging to a man named Rountree was also burned to the ground. On the same night a Priest from Killinkere was going on a sick call when the lightening struck the car,
