There is a band at St Colmcille's well every year. People say that St Colmcille came back to Ireland and his two eye's covered. St Colmcille died in Scotland and he was buried in Downpatrick, with two other saints. St Colmcille had a monastery in Kells, and it was there he wrote a book.
Some people say that Saint Colmcille stole four crosses on Saint Kieran, and they are in Kells. Saint Colmcille was taking another cross when St Keiran saw him and it fell into the river and people say that it is in the river yet.
When St Colmcille went back to Scotland he died in a place called Iona in the year 580.
