  1. There are a great many wild birds in this district, for example, the crane, the stork, the sea-gull, the plover, crows, the pigeon, the hawk, the maypies, the wren, the thrush, the black-bird, the pheasant, the robin, the sparrow and the willy-wag-tail. The crane is a big heavy bird and it very helpless. When the crows see it they start picking it and chasing it. The stork is a big bird with long legs. The plover is a lovly bird with a point on the top of its head.
