    is the first to cross your thresh-hold on New Year's Day the whole house will be lucky for that year.
    New Moon: - If a person sees the new moon through glass they are going to be unlucky for the year.
    Cutlery falling:- It is said when a person lets a knife fall on the floor a man is going to see the person at the house. Or if a fork were to fall a girl would come to see them.
    If you find a piece of coal by chance and you spit on it and keep it you will have good luck.
    Some people say you will have back luck if you do not spit when you see on or more magpies.
