Meath.Long ago when fairies were quite common in Ireland there lived a man who was nick named "Jack the Noggin man" because his trade was that of a noggin maker. Jack was on his way one night to sell his noggin ware in Moate fair. He was on his way when he was overtaken by several fairies on horse back. As there was a spare horse in the group, Jack decided to have a mount to carry his ware to town. On the way they came to a house where a wedding feast was being held and all went in. The fairies and Jack took seats up on the collar ties so as to see all. Some time after going in when the bride was dancing, one of the fairies stole down and administered fairy snuff to her.
