  2. There was a man named Carolan who used to go around the district saying poems The people called him 'Carolan The Poet'. He used to take a great deal of drink. One day he went to the parish priest of Trim for alms. Carolan knocked on the door and Father Baine came and opened it. he asked Carolan what did he want. Carolan stood in the doorway and said:
