- The oldest tombs about Drogheda are in St Peters Churchyard, the dates of which are worn away with age.There is a monument set in the earth wall of two human skeletons. There are cut in stone representing the 'bodys' of "Ye Baron of Slane and his Ladye" who were drowned in the river Boyne.
