  1. When one had chilblains one should rub a piece of onion on them, or else steep them in cold water that has salt in it for about 10 minutes
    If one has toothache one should suck cloves for it will cure the pain greatly.
    When one gets stung with a nettle one should get a "docken" leaf & rub it on the sting saying:-
    "Docken, docken, in and out
    Take the sting of the nettle out.
    To cure a sty in the eye rub a gooseberry over it.
