At the back of the well is an immense beech tree and to the left is a large horse chestnut. In front a few yards away from the well stands a hawthorn bush and boggy land.
It was first an ordinary well and about 50 years ago the people built the stone around it. The well is broad but not too deep.
The stone cross over the well was one of the stone crosses that was broken when the new church was being built.
