    2. Blackhall is at present owned by a Catholic Lady, Mrs Thunder.
    It was formerly owned by a Protestant family called Pentland. A grandfather of the former gentleman built this residence. It contains 24 rooms and is a two story building.
    It has a large flower and fruit garden and an extensive wood called Blackhall wood.
    In front of the house is a pond.
    In one of the woods stands a Round Tower built in the time of Cromwell.
    3. Rath House, a large residence in beautiful grounds, situated on the Rath Road about 1/2 mile from the village.
