Blessed Oliver Plunkett had his palace where Mr Donnelly has his farm yard now. The Bishop resided here for a time every year. Nothing remains of the palace but one stone which is still to be seen.
St. Fechin had his monastery in the field in front of the Curate's house. There is a well in the field called the "pan well" because it is shaped like a pan. There is a big oak tree overhanging the well.
