  1. There is an old church not far from this school, and it is supposed that Cromwell plundered it,
One day Cromwell came to the church and he left his soldiers out side and went into the church himself.
He was a long time in the church and the soldiers were wondering what was keeping him. A few of his soldiers went to the door and looked in and they say Cromwell talking to a crow.
Cromwell was very angry because the soldiers saw him and he went out side and took his scarf from his neck and threw it round the necks of the soldiers and hanged them across his sholder.
