    There are a lot of old houses in our district, and most of the old houses are thatched.
    The thatch is made of straw, mostly wheaten straw, in some of these houses, there are settle-beds in the kitchen, the beds are made of wood, and at night they can be loosed down, and the bed can hold two people, and in the day time it can be used as a seat.
    On some of these houses there is a half-door, and a big door behind it, and a clay floor.
    The walls are made of clay, and the ceilings are very low, and the windows are small, and very often you find that these windows cannot be opened.
