  1. Pishrogues
    Long ago the people were poor and the workmen had no matches to light their pipes. They used to bring a burning sod of turf to the garden.
    Sometimes they went into a neighbour's house for a coal. If the people of the house were churning the cream the woman of the house would not let the coal out or let the man reddens his pipe till the butter was made for fear he would bring the butter.
