   When robins come near houses and when they sometimes try to get into the porch or when they get on a window it is a sure sign of snow. Before a snow storm the whole sky is of a leaden, grey colour and appears very heavy and there is practically no breeze.

2. Signs of Good Weather

   It is said when there is a nice red sunset that the following day will be fine.
   A heavy dew on a thick fog or a clear sky foretells fine weather.
   A calm sea.
   A fog in the morning.
   Silver clouds in the sky in the morning is a sign of a fine day.
   If the wind blows from the east it is a sign of good weather.
   When three rainbows are seen in the sky we are going to have fine weather.
   When cattle walk quickly it is a sign of three days fine weather.
