  1. Michael Colman lived near Fanny ODea's. On one occasion he was summoned to court. He asked old Fanny to plead for him to the magistrate. Fanny promised if the magistrated called in. Michael was very pleased. He went to meet the magistrate. He stopped his carriage and said, "Fad saoghal chughat a dhuine uasal", "Dubhairt Fanny Críonna leat glaodhach isteach"
    The magistrate called in and Fanny pleaded for Michael. At the court he was asked what kind of a ditch he had "Bonn fód is caipín cloch" said Michael. He was let off with a caution. On a-nother occasion Michael
