Darby Ryan, the poet of Ashgrove wrote a poem eulogizing Miss Eliza Moore daughter of Moore of Ashgrove House in which he referred to her as "the celebrated beauty of Bansha".There were three sisters of the Connery's. One, as stated, was married to Moore Esq.; another was married to Thomas Burke Booleen grand-father of the present Tom Burke (1938) and another is said to have been married to a man named Quirke.
