   Baile Uí Meadhruigh = Ballyvera; O'Mara's Townland. Houses now = Eight Houses long ago = Ten Houses gone are,Mr Franklin's and Mr Fogarties Tatched Houses now =5 Slated = 2 alvanised Iron (Zinc) 1 Three are three houss built with stone and mortar and cament. Five houses built with stone, mortar and clay. The fences are clay and stone and some of them are all stone. There are five native Irish Speakers in this townsland; Tom Mason, Raymond Condon, Mrs R Walsh, Mr Dalany and Mrs T Mason. Mr Fogarty was a smith and lived at Ballyvera Cross where he had his forge. He was an excellent smith but was a very small and very cross little man. In fact it is still applied to any small person, you are as small as Micilín Fogarty.
