    The "harvest of the geese" is so called because when the corn is cut people let out the geese to eat the grains of corn that would be on the ground
    It is said that the corn sweetens the meat.

    It is said that whatever wind blows on November day will be the prevailing wind for the year. This seems to be true as far as the present year is concerned, as on last November day 1937 the wind was north or north-east.
