Some of her friends approached her after "The 1902 Land Act" was passed, and she consented to take a farm some place near Cahir but while the house was being built for her she took ill and God called her to her reward, thus ending the life of the bravest women that Tipperary ever produced.

   Post Office and parish, 7 miles from Killenaule on the borders of Co. Kilkenny. The parish has a population of 3,143, the village 332. It is situated on the southern portion of the great coal field of Slieveardagh, worked chiefly by "The Mining Company of Ireland". The output of coal and culm for six months by this Company, as per last report, was 11,906 tons. The coal field, of which a considerable portion is in the parish, extends 7 miles in length and 3 miles in breadth; the coal is found in three distinct seams of 12, 18, and 24 inches in thickness
