  1. Friday is a special day with country people especially with farmers. It was a great custom long ago to sow the first of the potato seed on Good Friday if possible. They liked to cut the first of the hay on a Friday. When the cows are let out in the nights in May it is generally on a Friday night they are let out first. When people move from an old house to a new one they always select Friday.
