- The local fairs in my district are held in Nenagh. Templemmore, Thurle's. Kilcommon. and Roscrea. And the most of the fairs are held in big towns also. It is not known any fairs being held on hill's or in cemetries or in forts, or in castles, all the town fair's are held on the streets. Luck money is given for cattle when they are sold. When the bargin is made this is how they show there agreement by striking hand's. When cattle are sold this is how they are marked by putting red radil or blue, or a little of the hair is cut of them with a scissor's. When horse's are sold, there is a rope given with them, but with no other class of animal's(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
